Make a transparent PNG from a photo
A lightweight U²-Net model estimates the foreground mask locally. Transparent output works for layouts, character cutouts and product mockups. Choose white, black or another solid color without running the model again. Inspect fine edges before using the cutout.

Can I replace the background with white?
Yes. Run removal once, then choose White or a custom color. The color is composited behind the cutout and included in the downloaded PNG.
Does it remove every background perfectly?
No. The small model works best with a clear foreground. Fine hair, transparent glass, low contrast and overlapping objects can leave rough or missing regions. The longest output edge is limited to 2560 px.
Do my files get uploaded?
Your chosen files and entered text are processed in this browser. They are not uploaded to Montagea. Signing in verifies your account. AI tools download models; image-to-prompt downloads its pinned model files from Hugging Face.
