R2V means reference-to-video. Instead of a text prompt alone, you give Seedance 2.0 up to 9 references (images, up to 3 video clips and up to 3 audio clips) and it carries their characters, camera moves and sound into the new shot.
Seedance 2.5 renders longer takes, up to 30 seconds, at 480p or 720p. Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds but goes up to 1080p and 4K. Both take the same image, video and audio references.
